Cup cakes

Maybe it's because they blast us back to child hood but whatever the reason, these little beauties have become the cake du jour.
These are based on a Jamie Oliver recipe, and they're a doddle to make.
Flapjacks

The more dried fruit and nuts you can pile into a flapjack the better. In this recipe I've added apricots and walnuts but raisons, hazelnuts, even unsalted cashew nuts can make a plain bar of oats into something special.
Ginger biscuits

Really simple recipe - change the golden syrup measurements to suit your taste.
Hazelnut chocolate cake

Based on a recipe from New Zealand chef Jo Seager, this has become my never fail chocolate cake. It's really easy - you basically throw everything in a bowl and mix.
Kids birthday cake

This is a recipe for those kids parties when you have invited far too many people and you have no idea how you're going to feed everyone. But you'll need the patience of a saint because you have to make it twice - so give yourself plenty of time.
Spelt flatbread

It's quicker to mix and cook this than to nip down to your local shop and buy a loaf!
Spelt loaf for breadmaker

This is an every day recipe in our house - chuck it all in and wake up believing you're living with gorgeous French baker Gontran Cherrier.
Vegan chocolate cake

As far from a "worthy" chocolate cake as you can get - rich and delicious! Add some chopped pear or banana for an unusual twist.
